ALLEN (MADE BY SYLVANIA 1957 to 1959 12AU7 VACUUM TUBES FOR TUBE ORGANS
THESE WERE PULLED FROM A 1959 ALLEN ORGAN TONE GENERATOR.
THEY ALL TEST FROM 96% - 100% FOR EMISSION ON BOTH TRIODES WITH NO SHORTS OR GRID LEAKAGE.
TESTED ON A B&K 747 TESTER.
THESE TUBES WERE SUPPLIED TO ALLEN ORGAN BY RAYTHEON + SYLVANIA TO MEET ULTRA- LOW NOISE NON MICROPHONIC SPECIFICATIONS TO BE USED IN TUBE ORGANS.
THEY HAVE LARGE GREY PLATES AND TOP MOUNTED BENT RECTANGULAR GETTER.
THESE ARE EXCELLENT LOW NOISE 12AU7 TUBES.

1957 - 59 Allen PN-11's or 12AU7's.
All of these tubes are now uber rare all original Allen PN-11's, which are Allen's private label for a 12AU7.
The printing on the tubes is yellowish-Gold, which was a Sylvania screen print color at the time.
These are vintage 1957 - '59 organ grade ultra-low noise non-microphonic factory select 12AU7 tubes.

Allen Organ PN-11 12AU7 tubes.
In the 1950's, when Allen manufactured tube organs they would quality double check every single tube that went into their tone cabinets and amps.
This kept sound problems (microphonics) to a bare minimum.
Allen used re-branded 12AU7 organ grade ultra-low noise tubes.
Once approved for use, the tube tip was marked as was the practice of all low noise tubes then.
By the mid-1960s Allen was pretty much out of the analog tone cabinet business.
They still offered PN-11 12AU7 organ grade tubes to their installed base, but they were strictly re-branded Sylvania
Allen ascended to become the top of the electric organ heap during the golden age of tube powered electric organs (~ 1957 to ~1964)
Until the early 1960's most Allen Organ amplifiers were purchased from Webster (Webcor). As Allen went upscale they began to pressure suppliers to incorporate better sounding components, then required private labeling ("Allen"-labelled amps), and ultimately brought manufacturing in-house.
By that time (1957), these tube companies became one of the biggest buyers of tube-related gear in the world. They got the best tubes from manufacture tube supplier got their primary contract (usually reviewed annually). They purchased so many 12AU7 tubes and were so picky regarding microphonics that for a time they had their own tube designation, such as Allen, Baldwin, Conn Hammond, Philips Electrohome all produced ultra-low noise non-microphonic organ grade tube production (from 1957 - 1966)
Most tubes never yet used, some were burned in with low 20 to 50 hours all are high range NOS strong tested vintage tubes!
