For sale are some incredible PEARL iZUMi bicycling shorts. I bought several pairs of these in order to have spares for when mine wore out, but they never did! Therefore I'm selling off the extra for someone else to use and enjoy. If you know cycling attire, you'll know that Pearlizumi are known for quality and desirability (and they charge for it!). These particular shorts are somewhat unique in that they look like 'normal' clothing. A lot of cycling clothing is styled to make the wearer look like an insect, or at least a cycling enthusiasts. It would take a keen eye to notice that these shorts are intended for serious cycling. However, everything that makes the typical riding short comfortable and well-suited for hours in the saddle are present- because they are actually TWO shorts! There is a very comfortable inner layer that contains the padding and elastic that conforms to your body, and the outer layer that is extremely durable (as mentioned, my shorts have yet to show any wear to speak of, despite many, many hours of riding) and looks like casual non-biking shorts. I especially appreciated that aspect when cycle touring. It's one thing to look fashionable for your fast club ride, and it's another to look like a freak (to some) when strolling into a European bakery! The color is also well-suited to riding as dirt and stains are not so evident (also good for long-distance trips). The shorts also feature a handy rear zippered pocket- adding additional functionality beyond the usual Lycra attire. And though I'm describing the functionality of the shorts are bicycle travel, they are ATB (mountain bike) shorts and are great on the trail!
