This is a Neo branded MSL2024 tape library with a single SAS LTO5 tape drive. LTO 5 stores 3TB compressed per tape, this library can contain 12-24 tapes supporting backups up to 72TB without removing tapes. The library comes with (all tested all works) - Power cord - External Sas cable - Rails - Library with integrated barcode reader to index tapes. - LTO5 drive (can read and write LTO5/LTO4 tapes) - LTO5 tape (bought off Amazon.. you can buy cheaper tape sets off eBay) - LTO cleaning tape This library supports current LTO 8/9 drives as well if you want to upgrade in the future. LTO 9 supports 45TB per tape. I have one LTO 5 tape to demonstrate the unit as working. I have also included Veeam screenshots to show that the drive detected, formatted a tape, ran a successful backup and then erased the tape successfully with both a short erase and long erase. The previous version of Veeam supports this tape drive natively on the free version if you want to use windows, it can also be used under linux with free backup software. It is of course also supported by paid versions of Veeam/BackupExec/etc. It currently has licensing for 12 out of the 24 available slots. This unit can be converted to a 24 drive unit simply by replacing the controller module that slides out of the back or cross flashing the existing controller with MSL2024 firmware.
