Garmin GPS w/Bluetooth hands-free calling + extra maps of Europe Introduction
A truly very good Garmin GPS in excellent condition.
Perfect not only for everyday driving but will also be
very handy if you plan a trip to Mexico or overseas to
Europe as beside the most current maps of Canada
and Mexico it comes with maps of Europe.
Large 4.5" widescreen is bright, the colors are vivid, it
can display in 2D or 3D in a day or a night mode.
Mainly for use in a vehicle but it can be also used for
walking or biking as it has the bicycle and pedestrian
modes and a built-in lithium battery lasts a long time.
Turn-by-turn directions are given in 3 dozen languages
and the street names are spoken, ie. "in 200 meters turn
left at Pine Street" instead of "in 200 meters turn left" as
some other GPS units do.
The Line Assist shows in advance which lane to take on
a highway or the street in city driving before you get to
an exit or an intersection you need to take which makes
it easy and safe to turn when needed.
A very useful option is "Where Am I?", when you tap it,
it will show your exact location/geolocation.
It's great if you are somewhere in a middle of nowhere
and have car trouble or had a crash as you can call the
emergency, give them a geolocation and the help will
fast and easily find you because location provided by
the GPS is accurate with up to 15 feet precision.
Millions POIs (Points of Interest) help to find any place
like Hotels, Restaurants, Hospitals, Parking, Gas stations,
Car Services, Shopping Centers, Museums, Police, Local
attractions etc. and even provides the phone # of those
places so you can call to check if they are open or make
a restaurant reservation or book a hotel room.
You can choose the fastest or the shortest route (as the
shortest isn't always the fastest), choose what you want
to avoid, i.e highways, toll roads, carpool lanes, U-turns,
ferries or gravel roads.
Built-in Bluetooth lets you use your phone hands-free and
avoid tickets for distracted driving (current fine in Alberta
is $300 + 3 demerits) and a rise of the insurance premium
price. Once you pair your phone with a GPS it will always
connect automatically when you get in a car so you don't
even have to take a phone out from a pocket or a purse to
make/receive calls with both hands on a steering wheel.
It can save money (and a clean driving record) one other
way, will help to avoid speeding tickets by warning when
you exceed the speed limit of a road you are driving on.
Built-in Trip Computer shows Actual Speed, Max. Speed,
Average Speed, Moving Time, Stopped Time and more.
It also has a Picture Viewer, World Clock, Unit Converter
Calculator and ecoRoute.
Last week my grandson installed the newest 2024 maps
of Canada and Mexico and in addition there are also 2023
maps of Northern Europe he used last year during his trip
when he travelled all over the United Kingdom, Sweden,
Norway, Denmark and Finland. The European maps alone
were $49.99
It is in an excellent condition, works and looks like brand
new, shows practically no signs of use.
Comes with a cigarette lighter power cord/charger, cable
for connecting it to computer, suction cup windshield or
dashboard mount and a nice leather Garmin case to keep
it in when you remove it from a car (it's a good idea not to
show the GPS inside a car tempting a thief to break-in if
you park your vehicle on a street or in unsecure parkade).
Recently bought a new car which has a built-in navigation
so this GPS is not needed anymore.
