This is an open box, very fast, combined cut-sheet/flatbed scanner. Unlike many consumer-grade scanners, which are intended for home use (slow, with limited paper handling and a low limit of scans/day), this unit with its 40 pages-per-minute scan speed, advanced paper handling, dual scan modes (cut-sheet/flatbed), automatic handling of different paper thicknesses, high resolution scans and 6000 pages per day(!) scanning capacity, is a high-end unit intended for professional use. The scan speed of this unit is almost twice the speed of “home” scanners with much better paper handling and way less paper jams. Additionally, it can scan cut sheet paper, magazines, books, etc.. This is an open box unit which was used to scan less than 100 pages. It was purchased for a project that was eventually cancelled. It comes with its original box and all its original packaging/documentation/ accessories/software! Comes with everything required to start scanning right away. The included software, not only scans pages as PDF files or images, but ALSO performs text recognition, saving keywords from the document. This makes it very easy to search scanned documents. This professional grade scanner is priced at about the same as a much more limited and slower consumer model. Ideal scanner for digitizing lots of documents and speedily archiving old paper files electronically. Fully tested and working perfectly.
