Excellent Classic ORIGINAL LARGE ADVENT Speakers Introduction
Hard-to-find Original Large Advent speakers in excellent restored condition.
The Henry Kloss-designed Advent speakers are classics in audio history and are included in Stereophile’s list of the top 25 speakers of the last 40 years. When you listen to these you tend to forget you are listening to speakers – they are so musical. Very heavy speakers (47 pounds!) for their size. These speakers competed successfully with the Dynaco A25 and offered tighter more extended bass down to 30 hz with their 10-inch woofers and acoustic suspension enclosures. If you can find another pair you can assemble a double-Advent system which is even better.

Condition:
This original pair of speakers were purchased new at Bleekers in the 1970s. Enclosures are excellent with sharp corners and only small signs of use. The grills/cloth are excellent with original cloth and badges. Tested and sounding excellent. All correct drivers in excellent condition.
Restoration work completed:
- Correct inverted foam surrounds specific to these woofers just installed.
- New gasket installed on woofers to ensure airtight seal.
- New crossover capacitors installed (4)
- Treble response switch cleaned.
