Set of JVC compact speakers for sale - model S-A3 - made in Japan - black finish - original owner - includes 2 speakers, original audio cable (which may have an internal break), owner's manual, and original packaging - each speaker has 2 inputs: direct and through a built-in amplifier - each onboard amplifier is rated at 3 watts and is powered by 4 C batteries (not included) - when the amplifiers are engaged, the speakers produce a strong, full sound - cosmetically, the speakers and their metal grilles are in excellent condition with no dents or damage - no corrosion in the battery compartments - functionally, the speakers work well when the direct inputs are used as long as the cable does not move around as the input socket on one speaker seems to have a loose connection - when the built-in amplifiers are used, one amp works well, but the other does not engage - the latter amp's power light does come on when batteries are inserted - sold as is - $15.
